  • Admissions

It is important that parents make an informed choice when selecting a school for their child. We encourage all parents to come and look at the school during the working day, to meet Ms Newman and the staff and to ask questions that may be pertinent to their own circumstances. Much information can be gained from other members of the community, information online and recommendations from professionals. However, each child is different and parents must feel they can trust the school to take on the responsibility of their child’s education.

The school has a published admissions number (PAN) of 60 pupils. This means that the school can admit up to this number of children in each year group. The year groups are organised in 2 classes of 30 pupils.

    Starting School

The Hampshire Ready Steady School! Leaflet also provides helpful hints to prepare your child for school.

The Governors will consider all applications in accordance with the latest Admissions Policy.

    Transfer to Secondary School

Children transfer to secondary school at the end of Year 6 when they are aged 11. The local secondary school for children at Park Gate is Brookfield School. We have good induction programmes set up with all local secondary schools to ensure that this is a smooth transition.
