SCARF Workshops – Learning Through PDL
As part of our Personal Development Learning (PDL) curriculum, our children recently took part in a series of engaging SCARF workshops.
The sessions gave children the opportunity to explore important themes including relationships, wellbeing, keeping safe, healthy choices and understanding themselves and others. Through stories, discussion, activities and scenarios, the children were encouraged to share their ideas, listen to different perspectives and think about how they can make positive and safe choices.
A particular highlight for many children was being able to see Harold, the SCARF giraffe, who helped bring the learning to life!
“I really enjoyed seeing Harold! He was funny and it made learning about keeping safe even more fun"
It was fantastic to see our children engaging so positively, asking thoughtful questions and demonstrating the Park Gate Way throughout the sessions.
We are proud of the way our PDL curriculum supports children to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills they need to grow into happy, healthy and responsible young people. It is always one of the many highlights from across the year and want Park Gate so special bringing learning to life.
